ALEXANDRIA BAY, N.Y. — Whitney Joy Morehouse, 32, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 17, 2024, at home.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 11-1 pm at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 pm with Pastor Dominic Kriegbaum officiating. Burial will follow in Black River Cemetery.
Whitney was born in Hampton, Virginia, on December 12, 1991, to parents Roy W. and Robin Lu (Fyles) Morehouse. She graduated from Watertown High School in 2011. She was employed at the Applewood Inn in Alexandria Bay.
Whitney enjoyed playing and spending time outside with her children. Her purpose in life was being the best mother she could be.
Survivors include her mother, Robin Morehouse of Watertown; companion and father of her children, Mickey W. Welser of Alexandria Bay; three beloved children, Aurora R. Welser, age 7, and twins Amiyah Ann and Ethan Roy Welser, ages 4; a brother, William Morehouse of Watertown; maternal grandmother, Patricia A. Fyles of Watertown; aunts and uncles, Charity (Christopher) Gregory of Watertown, Norma (William) Jewett of Watertown, Laura Cummings of Watertown, Karen Eggelston of Syracuse, Yvonne Roach of Adams, Frank Gallo of Watertown, and Walter (Teasha) Gallo of Watertown; as well as several great-aunts and great-uncles, and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Roy W. Morehouse who died on February 8, 2007; a stillborn son who died in 2012; a sister, Rhonda who died at the age of 2, her paternal grandmother, Katherine Morehouse, and maternal grandfather, James W. Fyles.

Mickey, Aurora, Amiyah and Ethan, words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Whitney was an amazing friend, and she will be missed greatly. My heart breaks for you all. The only comfort I can give is in knowing she is in heaven watching over all of you and will be with you in your hearts forever.
