Stanley Bernard Hood, 72, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away, Thursday, May 19, 2022, in the comfort of his home surround by the love of his family. Stanley was born, August 18, 1949, in St. Louis City, MO, a son of the late Elbe Hood and Clara Hood Parker. Stanley was a graduate of Beaumont High School, St. Louis, MO, and a member of Cowles Chapel Baptist Church where he was a choir member. Stanley retired from the General Motors Corvette Plant after 40 years of service. Football was an important part of who Stanley was, he coached with the Warren County Football League and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed watching Lakers basketball, Dodgers baseball, and he played softball in his younger days. Stanley loved to share his turkey and dressing with family and friends. On, September 29, 2000, Stanley married Vonzell in Paducah, KY,
Along with his parents Stanley has joined those passed before him, son, Stanley Hood, Jr., brothers and sisters, Ada Hood, Margaret Ann Hood, Esther Hood, and Elbe Hood, Jr.
To cherish the memory of Stanley Bernard Hood, he leaves his wife Vonzell Hood; children, Damon L. Hood (Stefanie), Rhonda Hensley; grandchildren, Isaiah and Tayden; brothers and sisters, Gladys Winters, Alan Hood (Karen), Raymond Hood (Peggy) Joyce Scott, Anthony Hood (Donnice), Lynette (Lee) Scott, Terri (Tony) Bartee, Robin Hood and Zelda (Red) Hood; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
