Roberta Kay Alexander, 81, of Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana, died at 10:35 pm, Sunday, July 28, 2024, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on March 2, 1943, in Wabash, Indiana, to Robert O. and Virginia (Kendall) Harrell.
Roberta retired from the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, Indiana after 27 years. She enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, and shopping. She also enjoyed reading books and traveling around Florida. She especially loved her family and was very proud of them.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Steiner of Chino Valley, Arizona; 9 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sister, Linda (Charles) Mollett and her brother, Steve (Shirley) Harrell, both of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jerry B. Capes and Jeffrey Capes, granddaughter, Angeline Rochelle Capes, and her brother, Robert V. Harrell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Larry Hall officiating. Burial will be in LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 1-2 pm Friday, at the funeral home.
