Keith Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service - Manchester Avenue Chapel - Wabash on Feb. 1, 2025.
Keith Eugene Wilson, 77, of rural Wabash, Indiana, passed peacefully at 9:08 pm, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at his home, holding the hands of his family. He was born on April 22, 1947, in Wabash, to Clyde and Bertha (Prickett) Wilson.
Keith married Linda Kay Cecil on October 3, 1964, at Dora Christian Church, in Lagro, and had a wonderful 60 years of marriage. He worked as an engineering manager at GenCorp, where he held 7 patents, and traveled to many foreign countries perfecting weather stripping for the automobile industry. After he retired in 2002, Keith started his own tooling business that he operated for 10 years, and then retired for a second time. He and his wife, Linda, were licensed by the state of Indiana and volunteered their time and resources for the preservation and rehabilitation of local wildlife. Keith loved traveling, enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycle, and forging new friendships on their bus trips. He also enjoyed automobiles and creating phenomenal woodworking projects including bowls, furniture for family, gifts to donate, and designing games for his grandchildren. Most of all he adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Keith is survived by his wife, Linda Wilson of Wabash; 2 children, Lori (Wister Pilling) Wilson of Bokeelia, Florida and Eric (Missy) Wilson of Wabash; 4 grandchildren, Nick (Taylor) Wilson of Wabash, Danielle (Karissa) Wilson of Walkerton, and Alek and Aleese Mandos, both of Fort Myers, Florida; 7 great-grandchildren, Hadlee, Hunter, Brooks, Bo, Carter, Theo, and Charlie, and sister, Nancy King of Yakima, Washington. Keith had more than just his biological family- he considered the guys, he mentored through work, as his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Anne Sills.
A Celebration of Keith's life will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash.
Preferred memorial is Soaring Hawk in Fort Wayne.
