She passed away Friday, October 18, at her home at Kinship Pointe ~ Wayne. Memorials may be directed to the Anderson Family for later designation.
Marian Jeannine Anderson was born February 1, 1931, near Randolph to William Luther and Ethel Oda (Kopp) Milliken. She attended school District #28 near Randolph, District #61 in Wayne County, and graduated from Wayne High School. After attending Wayne State College for two years, Jeannine began teaching in rural schools at Wayne County, Districts #21, #48, and #61. Jeannine married Wallace Arthur Anderson March 18, 1951, at the First United Methodist Church in Wayne. She later worked at the Wayne Care Centre in the dietary department. The couple farmed near Wayne for several years. As a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Concord, Jeannine served as a Sunday School Teacher and Confirmation Teacher and a member of WELCA. Later as a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne she was active in the church altar guild and sewing group. Jeannine was a very active participant at the Wayne Senior Center and the quilting group there for many years. She was a Wayne County 4 H leader and a member of the neighborhood Wilbur Club.
Jeannine is survived by her children, David (Lou Wiltse) Anderson of Wayne, Dwight (Pam) Anderson of Concord, Dennis (Katrina) Anderson of Yorba Linda, CA, Melinda (Verdel) Lutt of Wayne, 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; in-laws, Delores (LeRoy) Koch of Concord, Fern Test of Wayne, Alvin Anderson of Wayne, Clayton Anderson of Wausa, Kenneth (Karen) Anderson of Concord, Maureen Anderson of Omaha, and Beverly Anderson of Apache Junction, AZ; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace in March 2001; brother, Kenneth Milliken; sisters, Lucille (Ernest) Witte, Doris (Edward) Mann, Virginia (Arthur) Carzoli, and Margueritte Ridnour; in-laws, Larry Test, Harlin (Verlyn) Anderson, Janet Anderson, Zelma Anderson, Curtis Anderson, and Earl Anderson.
