Seminole resident, Gwilliam Lewis “Bill” Davidson, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Seminole.
Bill, the son of Gwilliam and Frances (Lewis) Davidson, was born June 11, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Bill proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and served for 11 years finishing his duty in the Panama Canal. Bill loved bass fishing and was a fishing guide while completing his degree at the University of Florida. He was a member of the Seminole Bass Club. In the early 1980s, work brought Bill to Seminole, where he managed the axle department at Hayes Axle. On April 21, 1987, he married Jan Yeager, in Seminole. He worked in management, the propane industry and raised cattle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gary Davidson.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jan Davidson, of Seminole; sons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Wendy Davidson, of Mukilteo, Washington, Jeff and Rebecca Davidson, of South Carolina; a daughter and son-in-law, Kaylie and Matthew Wild, of Pauls Valley; and six grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
