Erwin was also a post-polio survivor having lived with polio for over 76 years. To say that he was a strong person was an understatement. Erwin attended DelGado University in New Orleans, Louisiana and received his degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics so that he could help others. He went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career as an Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician with the LaTorre Laboratory, Sampsons Laboratory and finally at Cahill Laboratory.
Erwin loved racecars and raced at many area tracks. He also volunteered for many years at the Saratoga Auto Race Museum. He and his wife, Trina, also loved car shows and attended many throughout the area.
Erwin is survived by his children Peter C. Adams, Tonia L. Margiotta and her fiancé Tim Loveland, his sister Ginny Lynn (Don) Harwood, his nephews Matthew, Mark, and Chad, and his nieces Karey, Missy, Farrah, Amanda, Jackie, Jean, and Trina.
