Donald Hunsaker Obituary
Mr. Donald Ray Hunsaker Sr., age 89, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026.
Donald was born February 5, 1937, in Mansfield, Missouri, to Hervel and Juanita (Bailey) Hunsaker.
He was united in marriage to Sherry (Waterman) Hunsaker on December 26th 1972 in Nogales, Mexico. Their partnership spanned decades of love and shared life.
Donald dedicated his career to the automotive industry. He owned and operated Riverside Motor Company from the 1980s until 2001, then continued as owner-operator of Hunsaker Auto Group for many years thereafter. He took great pride in the business and building genuine, lasting relationships with customers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Daniel; his daughter, Donna; and his brother, Ronald.
Donald is survived by his devoted spouse, Sherry Hunsaker, of the home; his two sons, Donald Hunsaker Jr. and Kenny Hunsaker; his grandchildren: Halle, Hope, Harlee, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Adam; his great-grandchildren: Luke, Lily, and Dayton; his great-great-grandchild, Maverick Ray; his niece, Erin; and many more nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
He'll be remembered for his strong work ethic and his dedication to friends and family. You could always count on him to help out.
