Brenda Earnest Obituary

Brenda Janine Earnest (Brenda), cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the age of 69. Brenda was born on January 10, 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Mitchell Earnest and Betty Sailors Earnest Argo, and sister Amy Earnest.
After graduating from Minor High School in Birmingham, Al, Brenda graduated from the University of Alabama Dental Hygiene Program (ADHP) and practiced dental hygiene in the surrounding Birmingham area for over 45 years. Brenda never missed an opportunity to remind her patients to "properly brush and floss."
Brenda was known for being a giver. She constantly showered her grandchildren with "just a few things", mostly from TJ Maxx and Ross, but bigger than that, she gave lots of love. Brenda loved her family dearly. She loved her immediate family, church family, and her friends beyond measure. Brenda embraced her role as grandmother and loved her name "Bebe".
Brenda also had a love for music. She had quite the collection of vinyl albums, some of her favorites being Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, and anything else that reminded her of the days in her '72 Chevelle SS burning up the roads with friends and hair blowing in the wind.
Brenda was an active member of Republic Baptist Church and loved the Lord. She would talk about her love for "good solid church hymns" and her disdain for the "contemporary songs that have no depth".
Brenda is survived by her husband, Barry Nichols; her son Jeremy Foshee (Leslie); and grandchildren Laurel Wyn, Sailor, and Margaret. We will all miss her very much.

A memorial service will be held at Republic Baptist Church on Friday, January 24, with visitation 11:30am-12:30pm, service following. There will be a graveside burial service at 2:00pm, Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper, Al.
