Dennis E. Tero
Dennis E. Tero, 74, of Lake Worth, Fla., formerly from Nashwauk, Minn., passed away January 28, 2024, at the Vitas Healthcare Center in Delray Beach, Fla.
Dennis was born March 28, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Minn., to Eugene and Sylvia Tero. He graduated from Nashwauk-Keewatin High School in 1967. Dennis was homecoming king and played football and basketball. He attended Hibbing Community College and Bemidji College. Dennis was a member of the American Finnish Club in Lake Worth. He worked for Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, Fla.; Hoffman Chocolates in Lake Worth, and Kelly Services and Manpower. Dennis' passion was making collages which he proudly displayed on the walls of the American Finnish Club. He also worked on the Christmas floats for the parades in Lake worth. Dennis enjoyed his sports, especially the Florida Panthers and would have been so excited to know that they won the Stanley Cup this year. He was also a loyal Minnesota Twins, Vikings, The Wild and the Timberwolves.
Dennis is survived by his sisters, Beverly Tero of Lake Worth, Fla., and Sheila Allison of Grand Rapids, Minn.; brother-in-law, Wayne Patras; nieces: Sherri (Adam) Kokkinen, Amy (Brian) Lukasavitz; and Leah (David) Huso; nephews: Troy (Tammy) Allison, Allan Allison, Robert (Paula) Allison, numerous great nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Sylvia Tero; his sister, Priscilla Patras; brother-in-law, John Allison; and cousin, Dan Mekemson.
Per Dennis' wishes no services were held. A private family burial will be held at the Nashwauk Cemetery in Nashwauk, Minn., at a later date.
