Daniel Dunn Obituary

Daniel Patrick Dunn, 62, passed away unexpectedly at home on Oct. 8, 2023, after a long history of diabetes and other health complications.
He was born in Hastings, Minn., and moved to the Fort Madison area when he was 11.
Dan graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1979. He was employed throughout his career by Sheaffer Pen Company, Fruehauf Trailer Corporation, and then Goodyear, which later became Continental.
An avid Green Bay Packer fan, Dan loved taking trips up north to visit family and friends in Wisconsin. His other passions included woodworking, hunting, fishing, and relaxing at the Cabaret.
Dan is survived by a son, Matthew (Arielle) Dunn, and a daughter, Michelle (Brett) Rogers. He is also mourned by his father, Patrick Dunn, and siblings, Nancy (Ted) Meierotto, Kristi (Marc) Alexander, John (Deborah) Dunn, and Thomas (Skye) Dunn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Dunn.
His family will greet friends 10:30–11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, followed by a Celebration of his Life beginning at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.
A memorial has been established. Contributions may be left at or mailed to Barr Memorial Chapel, 1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, Iowa 52627.
