Susan Adolphson Obituary

Susan Marie (Abramowski) Adolphson age 67, of Manistee, Michigan, died early Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025 at Green Acres in Manistee, Michigan. She was born on December 20, 1957 the daughter of Nancy (Greiner) Franckowiak and the late Harry J. Abramowski. Susan was a graduate of Manistee Catholic Central High School with the class of 1977. After her graduation, she attended West Shore Community College in the Nursing Program. During her working career she had been employed at the Manistee Heights Care Center, the Manistee County Medical Care Facility and the Little River Casino, until her retirement.
Susan is survived by her daughters, Darcie Adolphson and Alison Adolphson both of Manistee, MI, her mother Nancy Franckowiak of Manistee, MI, her brother and sister -in-law, Larry and Lynn Abramowski of Commerce Township, MI, her sisters and brother's- in-law, Linda Bomar, Donna and John Green and Karen and Brad Solberg all of Manistee, MI.
She was preceded in death, by her father, Harry James Abramowski on September 25, 2022.
According to Susan's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Final interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee, Michigan. The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.

I am so sad to hear about Sue's passing. We were good friends in high school. She was always so sweet, funny and fun to hang around with. I've moved away from Manistee many years ago but we'd keep in touch mostly at Christmas time with cards/letters. If she was in pain, she isn't anymore and I'm sure having a good time up in heaven. Probably hanging with Teresa, one of our best friends. She will be sorely missed.

Susan was a special person. We will remember her for her kindness toward our children. It was inspiring to see the love and care Susans's siblings gave her. We are sorry for the family's loss.
