David Folger Obituary
Family was everything to David and he cherished all the amazing memories had with them. He is predeceased by his parents, Helen and Bill Folger and his beloved sister Ann Marie. He is survived by his loving children: Kelly and her husband Terrence Murphy, Shannon Folger, Brooke Folger, Hallie Folger and his son David Folger. David was survived by his loving siblings: Bill Folger and his wife Nancy, Jeanne Demcsak and her husband Robert, Jim Folger and his wife Marie, Bobby Folger and his wife Gale, Mary Folger, Tiger and his wife Cheryl, Michael Folger and his wife Kathy and many nieces and nephews who he adored. David was surrounded by many friends and coworkers that he cherished as much as his family.
David was born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey. He graduated from Marist High school and was a loyal sports fan to his favorite New York Football Giants, the New York Rangers, and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed listening to music and having a great time while the Grateful Dead played.
David found joy through the friendships and relationships he made. He especially enjoyed the laughter and friendships made at Archies in Bayonne and will greatly be missed driving throughout Hudson County.
To David, all his joy, happiness and love was with his children. He was an incredibly proud father to his four beautiful girls and his amazing son. He enjoyed watching the New York Giants with his children and being a part of every milestone that they had. He was the first call and text to them in the morning to ensure they had a good day. David was a cherished father and friend, and he will be missed dearly by all.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Sweeney Funeral Home from 1:00pm- 5:00pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, September 23, 2024 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Church 979 Ave. C Bayonne.

I was sad to read of his passing last year. I was a customer in his cab many times. Although I was a NJ Devil fan,he still picked me up.lol And when we would get close to my stop,if it was a light I would say I'll get out here. No way,he would say I will drop you off at your stop. What a nice guy and I am sure a family man..He is missed.

I was so sorry to read this. I was in his cab many times. What a nice guy. Even though he was a Rangers fan. Joked because I was a Devils fan.He was always so nice. I would offer to get out when he had a red light. He would always say absolutely not. Take me right to where I had to go..I am.going to miss him.. East 52nd St. Customer.
