Judy Kay Mathison

MADISON - Judy Kay Mathison, age 78, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Heritage Monona. She was born on Oct. 30, 1943, in Austin, Minn., the daughter of Darrell Delford Anderson and Elnora Rosella (Rud) Anderson.
Judy graduated from Lyle High School. After high school she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked for a few years. She married Jon Mathison on Aug. 15, 1964, in Lyle, Minn. While living in Madison, Judy worked for a few years as a crossing guard, but primarily devoted her time to raising her children and caring for her family. She was a strong, Christian woman who loved animals and reading the Bible.
Judy is survived by her husband, Jon; sons, Jeff (Tonya) Mathison and Jason (Megan) Mathison; daughter, Jodi O'Riley; six grandchildren, Jade O'Riley, Jacob O'Riley, Olivia Mathison, Kennedy Mathison, Mika Mathison and Kobe Mathison; twin brother, Jerry (Jan) Anderson; and brothers, Darvin "Tiny" (Carol) Anderson and Marlin (Ruthie) Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Delford Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at DOOR CREEK CHURCH, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
