Our Lord received Mrs. Yolanda Castillo on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Mrs. Castillo was affectionally known as "Yoli", "Mami" and "Guita" by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mario A. Castillo and sister, Minerva Aguirre.
Mrs. Castillo is survived by her children: Amada (George) Castillo Rodriguez, Mario (Lou Ann) Castillo Jr., Mary Lou (Ernest) Castillo Garza, Frank (Arabela) Castillo and Juan (Melissa) Castillo; grandchildren Jorge and Valeria Rodriguez-Cantu, Mario III, Lazaro and Brianna Castillo, Ernesto and Rebecca Garza, Francisco, Alfredo and Arianna Castillo; great-grand-daughters, Kalina Nicole Cantu, Meelah Cantu, Anastacia Castillo and Adelina Castillo; great grandsons, Kahlil Cantu and Remy Wade Rodriguez; sisters, Virginia Compean, Rosie Compean and Maria del Rosario Palacios; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Isaias Garza, caregivers Marisela Colunga, Lupe Delacqseaux, and Aida Casares, as well as the nurses and staff at Retama Manor West and Hospice caretakers for their exceptional care and kindness towards Mrs. Castillo.
The family will be receiving guests on Friday, February14, 2025, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. Funeral procession will follow to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Funeral mass will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow immediately to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Francisco Castillo, Alfredo Castillo, Francisco Castillo II, Mario Castillo III, Jorge Rodriguez and Ernest Garza. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernesto Garza and Lazaro Castillo.
