Susan Elizabeth (Hamill) Hunter, 72 was born on May 30, 1952 in Texarkana, Texas, the daughter of Jess N. Hamill and Modell (Kizer) Hamill. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jesse Fondy.
Susan was a graduate of Hugo High School, Class of 1970. She attended Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma and worked in the aviation department as a secretary. Susan married her beloved husband Howard Hunter on August 2, 1971 in Hugo, Oklahoma. They moved to Dallas, Texas where she worked for Don Shuheart Company before beginning her career at Fuses Unlimited. Susan retired from Fuses after 38 years and was praised for her excellent work ethic. They often stated they wished they had a 100 more employees like her.
Susan enjoyed going to the library, checking out numerous books and audio tapes. She also enjoyed sewing, camping, fishing and hiking trails. Susan enjoyed visiting family members and loved her family dearly. Her passion in life was their son Scottie, taking him to ballgames and just enjoying being his mom. Susan loved the Lord above all things and was a member of Lockwood Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas.
Susan is survived by her husband of 53 years, Howard Hunter of the home; son, Scott Howard Hunter of Garland, Texas; brother, Mark Hamill of Hugo, OK; sisters, Frances Harrison of Hugo, OK, Goldie Caldwell of Gatesville, TX and Marion Nix of McAllen, Texas along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.
