KEARNEY - Kyle L. David, 68, of Kearney, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his home in rural Kearney.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Rev. Seungli You will officiate and private family burial will be later at Kearney Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements.

Kyle was born on Feb. 11, 1954, to Ron and Lyla (Franklin) David in Benkelman, Nebraska. He later moved with his family to Kearney and attended Kearney High School, graduating in 1972. Kyle attended Kearney State College before eventually returning home to farm with his step-father, Hubert. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney. Kyle was also a member of the NRA, Teamsters, Archway Corvette Club and the Rocky Mountain Elks Foundation. He loved to read and completed thousands of books over the years. Kyle also loved to hunt deer every fall and also greatly enjoyed farming. He had the ability to talk politics with anyone and everyone. Kyle learned to cook from his mother and was very good at it.
Surviving relatives include his mother and step-father, Lyla and Hubert Hecox of Kearney; brother, Carroll and Lorene David of Kearney; nephews and niece, Ryan David of Kearney, Michael and Abigail David of Englewood, Colorado, Chandra and Jason Hawley of Aurora and Brant and Diedre Hollister of Kearney; and his best friend Blue, his dog.
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Ron David; along with hiss maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorials are suggested to Fort Kearny State Recreation Area, care of the family.
