With the passing of James Bauer, more affectionately known as Jim to his friends and colleagues, the world has lost one of nature's gentlemen. Widely respected for his professional knowledge and expertise as a human pathologist, Jim was one of the most self-effacing and humble of individuals. Not surprising, he bore his extended illness with lung cancer with tolerance, grace and above all, dignity. In life, Jim was delightful company for those who got to know him well. He will be sorely missed by Suzanne, his caring and wonderful wife and companion of 55 years, his children, immediate family, friends and acquaintances. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in their time of grief. May Jim forever rest in heavenly peace.
