As I was looking up articles in my scrap book along with Steve Marcon I realized our golf team was the first team in CHS history to win the GK golf tournament! We were blessed to have had Jay for a coach. He was demanding of sportsmanship and very dependable as a leader, teacher, and coach. A fine man and someone I will always remember.

I was on Jays golf and tennis teams that qualified for state in 1977. We had so many great times. Our tennis team went from one conference win in 76 to State qualifier´s in 77. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jay in 2020 and we shared so many stories. Bless him and his family. Rest well for a job well done! You will be missed but never forgotten.

Mr. Stickle was a great teacher & motivator. We would bet a dime every year through high school & college on the Michigan v Ohio State game. Just a way for us to stay connected. His smile and gentle "nudging" were always a welcome sight. I didn´t want to like science, but here I am. Science is a very important part of my life. Mr. Stickle, your students loved & admired you. May you Rest In Peace.
Smiling and keeping the faith!

Mr Stickle was always one of my favorite teachers, he always had a smile and was so sweet. I only ever had him for one class, but he made an impression on me.

Mr Stickle was a favorite teacher of mine! I remember in Science class I used rats (3 male) for an experiment. When the science fair was over he asked me if I´d take 1 more male and 4 females and breed them and I could use his cages. OMG I took him 48 rats at the end of summer!! He was the best teacher by far. He taught me so much!!

Tom and I both send our condolences to Mrs. Stickle and family. Mr. Stickle was one of our favorite teachers at Comstock. We were blessed to have such an outstanding science department , who not only were great teachers of their curriculum, they were wonderful role models. He was also Toms tennis coach and I was one of his Biology Seminar Students. We will fondly remember this great teacher. Gone but never forgotten.

Jay was absolutely one of the finest teachers, coaches and ADs ever at Comstock. He was a class act and someone who I admired dearly! He had such a positive impact on so many coaches, teachers, athletes and students during his time at Comstock. It was an honor to work with Jay and I know his eternal light will shine on in all of us that he influenced.
