Shelia Nell Buckley, 71, of Pocahontas, went to her heavenly home Sunday, December 14, 2025, at St. Bernards Five Rivers Hospital in Pocahontas.
Shelia was born on March 10, 1954, to the late Bobby Gene Counts and Clara Nell Counts in Pocahontas.
Shelia graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1972. She married the love of her life, James Buckley, in 1979 and raised three boys. She worked for the Doni Martin Center. She also attended Sutton Free Will Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Clara Counts.
She is survived by her husband, James Buckley of the home; children, Eric Buckley of Pocahontas, Matt (Elisha) Buckley of Maynard and Tim Buckley of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Ethan (Nikki) Buckley, Peyton Buckley, Alex Buckley, Casen Buckley, Devin Buckley, Bentley Buckley, and Rafe Buckley; great-grandchild, Aiden Buckley; brother, Ronnie (Sara) Counts along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services to be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 am at Sutton Free Will Baptist Church with Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Garrett Counts, Robert Counts, Christopher Rice, Dylan Cotter, Matt Buckley, and Memphis Jurs.
Honorary pallbearers are Tim Buckley, Eric Buckley, and Braden McKinney.
