Beverly McCreery Obituary

McCreery, Beverly Jo (Kirchen) Eaton Rapids Passed away unexpectedly, March 5, 2015 at the age of 53. Jo was born in Lansing, November 18, 1961 the daughter of Franklin and Margaret (Yeoman) Kirchen. She graduated from DeWitt High School and later attended Lansing Community College where she obtained her Associates Degree as a Paralegal. Jo worked at Michigan Bankcard, Lansing Dairy, was a stay at home mom until the boys grew up, and currently worked at Eaton Rapids Public Schools holding various positions. Her compassion and caring made it easy for the students and staff to love and admire her. She was an avid bowler and golfer and loved to spend time at the family cottage on Sapphire Lake hanging out with family and friends. Jo will be greatly missed by all who knew her, along with her beloved dog, Pepcee. Jo is survived by her husband Robert McCreery; sons, Conner and Jacob McCreery both of Eaton Rapids; mother, Margaret Kirchen of DeWitt; sister, Kathi (Rob Horwath) Kirchen of Holt; special cousin/sister Amy (Kevin) Jorae of Mason; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mac and Thelma McCreery. Memorial services will be 11 am Friday March 13, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, 600 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids with Pastor Marty DeBow officiating. Visitation will be held at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids, Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service at the church.
