Mark Spada Obituary

Mark James Spada, born January 29, 1958, passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 66.

At his passing, Mark lived on Spada Road in Snohomish, on the family farm that his grandfather homesteaded in 1912.

Mark was a third-generation graduate from Snohomish High School in 1976. One of his favorite phrases was "Once a panther, always a panther."

After graduating from Central Washington University, he started his career mentoring at-risk youth at South Everett Youth and Community Center, where he worked for 18 years. He then transitioned to work in the fishing industry, where his true passion lied. He eventually established his own rep group, Spada and Associates.

Mark married his high school sweetheart, Melissa, in 1980. They were together for 52 years and married for 44. Not only did they have a deep love for each other, they also had a profound friendship. They truly were partners in life. They had four children and 10 grandchildren, Robin and John (Jack, Lola, and Will); Sarah and Caleb (Sawyer and Teddy); Aimee and Arnaud (Henri, Charlie, and Benji); and John and Emily (Eleanor and Frankie). He is also survived by his sisters, Cathy, Nancy, and Mary Anne.

When Mark loved something, he loved it completely. He was passionate about fishing and farming. He loved walking in the woods with his family and dogs. He loved basketball, and coaching his grandchildren was one of the joys of his life. But above all, he loved his family.

Please join us to celebrate Mark's life at the Spada Farm, 7825 Spada Road in Snohomish, on Saturday, September 28 at 3pm. His memorial will be held in one of his favorite places, his farm pastures surrounded by his woods.

So many memories i don't know where to start. Mark gave so much to his community, the Snohomish Sportsman, WDFW. He was a rain maker the likes of which I will likely never see. He was a fearless advocate for the resources and the people that he cared about. He wanted to make life better for future generations. He left too soon.

Mark was an incredible man, and a very special friend. We all loved him, and for many years. He was a fixture at our house growing up, and like another brother to our family. There are many cherished memories with Mark at Snohomish High School and throughout life. His charisma, quick wit, laugh and kind heart were character traits that made him unique, and touched everyone who was his friend. He left a lasting impression on our hearts.
Mark was rich in life with the blessing of Melissa and his beautiful children, grandchildren and family. Our hearts and love are with the Spada family. Such a loss of a much loved and wonderful friend. We pray for comfort and peace for his beautiful family.

We love you, Mark!!
