Norma A. Albrecht
Worden - Norma A. Albrecht, 98, of Worden, Illinois passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Born September 6, 1925, in Omphghent Township, Madison County, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Arthur & Emelia (Gusewelle) Dustmann. She married Victor P. Albrecht on February 28, 1954, in Prairietown, IL and he passed away on April 11, 1992.
She worked as a Secretary at Shell Oil in Roxana, IL from the time she graduated high school to starting her family. She later worked with her husband working on the family farm and the trucking business. Norma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden and the Ladies Aid as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Worden American Legion Post # 564.She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, especially her Glenwood friends in the last year. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Klenke of rural Worden, IL, a son, Ronald (Kelly) Albrecht of rural Worden, IL; 4 grandchildren, Danny (Amber) Klenke of Worden, IL, Angela (Eric) Byerly of Palmyra, MO, Olivia & Katie Albrecht of rural Worden, IL; 1 great granddaughter, Addison Byerly of Palmyra, MO; 3 siblings, Marlen (LaVonne) Dustmann, Wilma Brunnworth, and Myra Daugherty. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Eldon, Loris, Delmar, and Bill Dustmann; 3 brothers-in-law, Orville Albrecht, Lorenz (Coleen) Albrecht, and Adolph Albrecht; 2 sisters-in-law, Golda Albrecht and Mildred (Wib) Dustmann;3 brothers-in-law, Al Brunnworth, Dale Jones, and Darrol Daugherty; and 1 son-in-law, Randy Klenke.
Friends may call from 9 – 10:45 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden with Pastor Heath Curtis officiating. Burial will be held at Worden Lutheran Cemetery in Worden, IL. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden.
