Our beloved mom, grammy, and great-grammy, Therese "Terry" Margaret McGee passed away on May 28, 2024 after an 8 year journey with Vascular Dementia. Up until the very end, Terry maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, and love of family and friends, all the while anticipating her reunion with the love of her life, Jerry, and daughter, Lynn, in the eternal light and love of our Lord Jesus. She was 90 years old.

Terry was born on October 2, 1933 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Walter S. Potyrala and Blanche A. Mucha. She met the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) McGee, at Lorain's St. Mary's High School, and married shortly thereafter in 1954. They were destined to be husband and wife for 46 years, until Jerry's death in 2000. She was a dedicated Air Force wife and a devout Catholic who excelled at raising her four children. Jerry and Terry's marriage took them to numerous states including, Texas, California, Ohio, Nebraska, Virgina, and finally Colorado in 1976. She relished being a housewife, loving mother, and friend to many. Terry was a gifted painter and quilter, winning numerous awards for her artistic abilities. She devoted much of her spare time volunteering as chair on the Mt. St. Francis liturgical environment committee, changing the sanctuary and public entry areas for all liturgy events, as well as singing in the choir. Terry is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry McGee (2000), and her infant daughter, Lynn Ellen (1960). Terry leaves behind her older sister, Irene Pastron, her four children, Michael Sean (Wendy), Laura Jean, Linda Jo (Craig), and Patrick John (Cindy). Her Grandchildren- Nate Back, Michelle Wier, Christopher McGee (Jayce), Matthew Wier (Taylor), Mary McCorkle (Sean), Stephen Back (Megan), Mauren McGee, Nicholas McGee, Lynn Wier, and Megan McGee. Her great-grandchildren- Samuel McCorkle, Gabriel McCorkle, Grayson Back, Kinsley Back, and Blake McCorkle. Terry was the heart of her family and was so loved, she will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Well done, my good and faithful servant. Luke 19:17. Funeral Services will be held at Mt. St. Francis Catholic Church at 10:30 am on June 12, 2024 followed by a burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by your donation to Mt. St. Francis Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association in hopes of finding a cure.
