Robert Lawless Obituary

Robert L. Lawless, 77, of New Market, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. A member of the Monacan Indian Nation, he was the husband of Sue Rommal Lawless, his wife 53 years.

Born on March 24, 1947, in Randallstown, MD, he was the son of the late David Lawless and Dora (Branham) Lawless.

He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School. Robert retired form the Baltimore Department of Parks and Recreation after more than 40 years service. Once he completed a job, he knew he left a clean and safe place.

He was very proud of his Native American heritage in the Monacan Indian Nation and volunteered at the annual Homecoming and Powwow. He enjoyed fishing, wood crafting, hunting and reminiscing with his tribal family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother Douglas Lawless, sister-in-law Joan Lawless, nephew George Lawless and wife Shirley, Nephew Gordon Lawless and wife Lori, sister-in-law Patty Arrowgancia and his brother-in-law Al Rommel and his wife Debbie and well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers: David Lawless, George Lawless, Sr and Raymond Lawless and sisters: Dorothy Lawless Whitcomb and Margaret Lawless Owings.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Robert was always kind to me over my years of growing and visiting my aunt and uncle and years ago at homecoming. May you rest in peace.
Your Cousin,
Debbie ( Uncle Ray´s) daughter.
