John Corrao Obituary

Corrao, John "Johnny'

John Corrao "Johnny", age 57, went peacefully to heaven on Tuesday, October 14, at home. He was born on July 24, 1957, in Milwaukee, to Vincent Corrao and Kathleen (nee Cooney) Horvath. Johnny was raised in Germantown and graduated from Germantown High School. He met Connie, and they married on November 25, 1984.

John lost his battle with cancer. He had a generous soul. His goal in life was to make people smile and bring joy to everyone he met. He regularly volunteered his time to play his guitar and sing at nursing homes and would help perfect strangers without ever being asked. If you ever find yourself lonely, sad, or anything you don't want to feel, John will be there lighting your path to something beautiful. Because that is what he did, he created light in the darkest of places. John was not afraid to die. He is now resting in peace.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 29 years, Connie (nee Schaub) Corrao; siblings, Kat Corrao and Timothy Corrao; father-in-law, Lester Schaub; siblings-in-law, Karyn (Barry) DeRosso, Mark Schaub, and Laurie (Al) Paul; nieces, Angie Butzke, Carrie Schaub, Kimberly (Michael) Janosz, and Kayla Paul; nephew, Chad (Tricia) Butzke; further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Corrao and Kathleen (nee Cooney) Horvath; brother, Michael Corrao; mother in-law, Laverne Schaub and his Grandparents.

A Funeral Service will be held at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from noon until 2:45 p.m.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
