William McCoy Obituary
Bill was born Dec. 23, 1946, the son of William L. McCoy Sr. and wife Marcella, nee Stamer, of Wright City. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Bill was a longtime teacher at Ladue Horton Watkins High School. He was an accomplished woodworker, an avid historian, swimmer and lover of the arts. Bill loved and was very proud of his family and community.
He is survived by one daughter, Erin McCoy, London, England; one son, Seth McCoy (Sara), St. Louis; one sister, Virginia Wise (Larry), St. Charles; one niece, Kara Wise Dicker(Dale), Chesterfield; one nephew, Kent Wise (Jen), St. Charles; his Aunt Yvonne Balsiger, Tucson, Ariz.; great-nieces and -nephews; many cousins and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

He sure looks like his dad. I thank you for your service and I Salute you. I pray you are where you want to be. I see why you were a teacher as your dad and mom taught me well. Bill is our recent neighbor and we were so delighted to get to know him. We bonded over the commonality in our last names. I wish we had a little more time to get to know him better, but regardless, he was such a sweet man.

I, only met young bill about 2 times. I, worked for his mom and dad for 10 yr's miss them so much. Young bill was a very nice man. He to will be missed. Thank you for your service.
