Michael Molitor Obituary

Michael James Molitor, 76, Marthasville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at his home

Michael was born Sept. 6, 1945, in St. Charles, the son of August Molitor and wife Florence, nee Hoeckelman. He was a graduate of St. Dominic High School. He was united in marriage to Eileen Tuepker May 27, 1967, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, New Melle, and three sons were born to this marriage.

He was employed by Waterhout Construction for over 30 years and was a retired member of Carpenters Union Local 32. He also was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in New Melle. Michael enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, fishing, hunting, gardening and tinkering with model trains.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen Molitor, Marthasville; three sons, Mike (Karla) Molitor Jr., Wright City, Daniel Molitor, New Melle, and Larry (Amy) Molitor, Wright City; six siblings, Richard Molitor, Marthasville, William (Sandy) Molitor, Defiance, Conrad (Karen) Molitor, Flint Hill, Florence (Gene) Joerling, New Melle, Jane Huddleston, Marthasville, and Loretta Bruns, New Melle; six grandchildren, Travis (Tiffany) Molitor, Ryan Molitor, Jessica Molitor, Cole Molitor, Maggie Molitor and Morgan Molitor; three sisters-in-law, Alice Molitor, New Melle, Betty Lou Molitor, Warrenton, and Audrey Molitor, Morgantown, Indiana; brother-in-law, Pete Thompson, Jonesburg; other relatives and many friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, August and Florence Molitor; six siblings, August Molitor Jr., Gerald Molitor, Robert Molitor, Glennon Molitor, Mary Ann Rhodes and Elizabeth Thompson; sisters-in-law, Jolene Molitor and Bernice Molitor; and brothers-in-law, Gary Huddleston and Ralph Rhodes.

Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 17, from 2-8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385.

A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent's Church, Dutzow.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
