Alex Beckwith Obituary

Alex A. Beckwith, 83, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, in Paso Robles, California, after a courageous seven-year battle with Parkinson's disease. Born as Alinka Holub on June 29, 1942, in Poland, Alex later made her home in California, where she lived a full and vibrant life.



A graduate of Corvallis High School in the San Fernando Valley, Alex built a successful career as a realtor in Paso Robles and retired there surrounded by family and friends. She found joy and community at St. William's Parish in Atascadero, where she cherished her faith and connections.



Alex's passion for life was evident in her love of traveling, caring for her horses, dogs, and cats, and spending quality time with family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who leaves behind a legacy of warmth and resilience. Her family includes her daughters, Kristine Bergen and Cynthia Conran; stepsons, Gary and Steve Beckwith; grandchildren Allystair and Conrad Kiczenski, Iris, Angelica, and Boadicea Conran, John, Michael, and Brian Beckwith, Krystal Sowell; honorary grandchild Dalton Smith; and great-grandchild Aryanna Arendt. Alex also cherished the companionship of Clifford Johnson and her dear friend Michele Smith, whom she loved like a daughter.



She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maria Goetzlik; twin brother Andrew Holub; son Patrick Beckwith; grandchildren Sean and Jonathan Loppnow; and her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Beckwith.



A short eulogy will be shared at the conclusion of the 10:30 a.m. service on March 27 at St. William's Parish, 6410 Santa Lucia Rd., Atascadero. A Celebration of Life will follow at noon at a private residence at 1260 Quicksilver Way, Templeton.



In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any horse rescue organization or to Parkinson's disease research in honor of Alex's compassionate spirit and love for animals.
