Clarence "Herb" Cecil Pierce
May 5, 1935 – June 21, 2024
Herb was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Cecil and Lilly Pierce, moving to Oregon around the age of seven. In his early years he worked on a cattle ranch, until August 17, 1953 when he joined the army. During his service in the military, he was a para-jumper medic with the 82nd Airborne Division.
On January 16, 1954, Herb married the love of his life, Vera Noah (Pierce) with whom he spent 72 years of his life. Together they welcomed four children; Edna, R.C., Cricket, and Guy.
Herb was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved to be out in his shop working on one project or another. Herb also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Vera; daughter, Cricket (Robert); son Guy (Kathleen); five grandchildren: Chasitie (Travis), Stephenie, Greg (Stephany), Ginny (David), and Jared. As well as several great and great-great grandchildren.
Herb was preceded in death by son R.C. Pierce and daughter Edna Pierce.
Per Herb's request, there will be no services. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
