The passing of Elizabeth Oldham is a reminder to all of us who loved her that we are only here for a moment in time and that we owe it to ourselves to be generous, considerate, and thoughtful to others.
Liz expressed these attributes in a multitude of ways.A few examples include:whether it was a scholarship program for needy students that she helped supervise;a family member needing assistance;or a neighbor requiring help...Liz was there!
I was a recipient of her kindness.I will miss our periodic gatherings of fellow colleagues that she planned and organized. She was always an active listener,a life-time learner, questioning to clarify our conversations, persistent in her attentiveness to the well-being of the group, with a cheerful disposition...we have suffered a significant loss.
