ARLENE FOOTE Obituary

ELGIN - Arlene K. Foote (nee Prigge), 81, of Elgin, passed away on January 17th, surrounded by family. A lifelong Elgin resident and 1960 St. Edward High School graduate, Arlene married Jim Foote in 1962. Despite facing physical limitations from childhood polio, her resilient "I can do it" attitude set her apart. She had a lengthy career in the insurance business. Arlene is survived by husband, Jim Sr., of 61 years; children, Jim (Amy) Foote Jr., Pam (Jeff) Wright, Buffy (Mike) Oine, Melanie (Bob) Goduto; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Catherine Prigge; and siblings. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, 310 S. State St., Elgin, IL 60123. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24th, at 12 pm (Noon) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elgin, 397 Fulton St., Elgin, IL 60120. Burial will be private.
