Charles O. Marks, age 85 of Gardners, passed away October 1, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 24, 1939 in Carlisle to the late John A. and Ethel Irene (Weaver) Marks. Charles was a retired fruit buyer for Knouse Foods for 47 years. He was a member of Uriah Community Church and Upper Adams Fish and Game. He loved hunting in Pennsylvania and Missouri, fishing, farming and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis L. (Owens) Marks; children, Lisa L. Rowe, John C. Marks and wife, Ursula and AmyJo R. Weary and husband, Michael, all of Gardners; grandchildren, Hannah Canankamp and husband, Jonathan, Autumn Rowe, Nicole Marks and husband, John Dubensky, Nathan Marks and wife, Kaylee, Tyler Weary and wife, Paige, Mackenzie Dishong and husband, Silas; great-grandchildren, Zoey Dubensky and Eden Weary and siblings, Carr B. Marks and wife, Nora of Biglerville, Clair E. Marks and wife, Jane of Gardners and Carolynn Gelsinger and husband, Dave of Gardners. Charles is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. A Funeral Service will be held at Uriah Community Church, 925 Goodyear Road, Gardners, PA 17324 on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate the service. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service. Charles will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
