Tom was my roommate at Central Washington and my best friend during college. Tom was always full of life, ready for a good time after his studies. Although we lost contact with one another around ten years after college he will always be a great part of my life.

I met Tom Dudley at Hudson Bay high school where I went to work for him in the attendance office. My husband Phil had an office there and our daughter Jennifer attended and graduated from Bay.
We all have so many wonderful memories of Tom and Hudson Bay high school. As principal, he set the climate of the school by being supportive of and kind to every staff member and student there.

We know your pain and are very sorry for your loss. From the things I have read, Tom was a very giving man, never asking for rewards.
Peace be in your hearts.

I first met Tom when we were both working on our master's degree in counseling at Lewis and Clark College in 1975. We then worked together at Columbia River HS for several years. I have always admired Tom both personally and professionally throughout the years. He had wonderful counseling and administrative skills.

Tom´s service to the students and staff in Vancouver Public Schools was enormous. He was the calm in the storm, the wise counsel amid conflicts, and always the character driven leader and mentor of many students, teachers, counselors, and administrators. What a gift and blessing to have worked for him. His light in this world will be sorely missed. May the life he lived be a constant blessing to his family.

Tom was loved and admired by so many. I benefited from his leadership as a teacher, an administrator and most importantly as a parent. He and my husband, Ron, were cut from the same cloth. It was amazing to see the support they were able to give each other as professionals and eventually a cherished friendship. What a blessing he has been.

He was always so kind and genuinely caring. I was a student at Prairie´s earliest years. I thought it was so sweet when he married my drill team coach, Ms Cappielo.
May he RIP. My most heartfelt condolences to his family.

I first knew Tom as a student at CRHS. I later I had the privilege of working with him as an administrator in VPS. Tom was an exceptional leader. I always admired his ability to remain calm in all situations, and his level of compassion and integrity. He was one of the very best. He and Ron Porterfield were a dynamic leadership duo in VPS. I will always be thankful for Tom's leadership and friendship. Heaven is celebrating for sure. God bless his family and loved ones, and thank you for sharing him with us over the years. His life had such a positive impact on so many in this community. He will be missed.

I met Tom my first week at Central. He was the RA in my boyfriend´s dorm and a calm voice of reason. We met again as Vancouver teachers years later. He was the principal at Hudsons Bay when my sons were students. I was so impressed because he seemed to know every student in the school and greeted them all by name.

I had the privilege of working with him as a Senior Class President in 1982. He was everything an advisor could be. I´m certain he had a positive influence on so many young adults that helped guide them to their futures.
Thoughts to his family.
