Rick was my best friend. For many of you who know Rick, he was a hoot. When Rick first joined The Troxel Company, he was holding a meeting and I thought this guy is really cool. I think I'll make friends with him. And that's how our friendship started 30 plus years ago.
One of Rick's gifts was that through his outward personality, he made you feel better about yourself - he made us feel special. He had a gift of making all with whom he came into contact feel as though they were the most important person on the earth.
In life, a real true friend is hard to find, difficult to leave as it is now and impossible to forget. For me, that was Rick Baur and as he requested, I will visit his grave to say hello from time to time.
Farwell Rick, my friend. May you rest in peace.
