Michael Aust Obituary

Michael Kent Aust, 66, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:20 am, Sunday, January 19, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 26, 1958, in Riverside, California, to William "Bill" Aust and Bonnie (Miller) Tucker.

Michael worked at Ford Meter Box, bartended at Scotty's, and installed and maintained television towers. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge both of Wabash. Michael was very blunt, and direct, but had a great sense of humor; he was a great friend to many. He enjoyed motorcycles, and cooking- especially providing for large gatherings. Michael loved his family more than anything.

He is survived by three children, Jason (Barbara) Aust of Clayton, North Carolina, Jessica (Kyle) Marley of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Taylor Aust of Bluffton, Indiana; four grandchildren, Korbin Hovey, Ariel Aust, Elliot Sizemore, and Noriah Aust; siblings, Janet Parke of Wabash, Jim Aust of Noblesville, and Candi Cummings of North Manchester, brother-in-law Dave Cummings of North Manchester, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Andrea Aust, and his sister, Cynthia Maggart.

There will be a celebration of Michael's life, from 5-9 pm Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Wabash Moose Lodge.
