After 73 years of loving marriage Ginny and Ted Arey are now joined together in eternal rest. Ted passed away on February 1, 2021 and Ginny followed him on November 4, 2021. Virginia Krick Arey, beloved wife of the late Theodore William Arey, cherished Mother of Richard Arey, David (Susan) Arey, and Janet (Arey) Wright, doting Grandmother of Brian Arey, Nathan (Samantha) Arey and Maxwell Wright, fond Great Grandmother of Torrey and Tanith Arey, loving Sister of Marjorie (Krick) Seyfert, and caring Aunt of many. Ginny and Ted met at Oak Park High School in 1943 and married on August 16, 1947. Ted was steadfastly at her side as they lived a life filled with love, happiness and song. They sang together in a barbershop quartet and with the choir at Redeemer Lutheran Church where they were active members for decades. They also shared a love for travel. Summer vacations were spent with the extended family in Door County. In their later years they travelled the country and visited several state capitols. Their love of family and friends, travel, music and laughter lives on with all who knew them. Ted and Ginny will be deeply missed by those who were touched by their kindness and generosity, good humor and love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Door County Land Trust, P.O. Box 65, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin 54235 or at DoorCountyLandTrust.org. A memorial service for Ginny and Ted will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 123 East St. Charles Road in Elmhurst, Illinois on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
