Robert Gast Yale, age 85, of Winnetka, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Ellis and Joanne Yale nee Gast. Bob was the cherished brother of the late William (Doris) Yale. He is survived by his wife Dianne Yale nee DePierro. Loving father of Mary (the late Kurt) Murray, John (Keri) Yale, Martha (Thomas) Leinenweber, and Thomas Yale; and he is survived by their mother Jean Yale. Bob was most proud of being the grandfather ("RG") of Elizabeth and Martha Murray; Jack, Charlie, Patrick, Mimi and Brynn Yale; Katie Ahlstrom (Charlie), Tommy, Peter, Mary, Betsy and Annie Leinenweber. Born in Evanston, Bob graduated from Evanston Township High School and Northwestern University and enjoyed an over 55 year career as a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. Bob very much enjoyed helping his clients achieve financial security, but will most be remembered as a kind and loving Father and Grandfather. A gentleman to the very end, he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Inurnment will be private at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL with a memorial service to be scheduled for a later date.
