I spent a lot of my childhood in the Waldschmidt house. I will always remember the love that lived there... What a blessed life he had.

When I was growing up down the block in Homewood, I would see Dr. Waldschmidt walk past every day on his way to the office, and often when he headed home to his family at the end of the work day. He was a kind man and a reassuring presence in our neighborhood. Its an image I remember fondly. My most sincere condolences on your loss.

You were there all the times he needed you to be. There is no better lesson that a father can teach a daughter than that of empathy, kindness and unconditional love. My heart is with you and your family at this time of tender moment's.
