Zofia Liszka Obituary

Liszka, Zofia (nee Blaszynska), 58, died tragically in a hit and run automoblie accident. Beloved daughter of Albina and the late Stanislaw, loving sister of Anna (Andrzej) Maciusiak, dearest aunt of Maciej (Anna) Maciusiak, dear niece, cousin and friend to many in Poland and in the USA. Funeral Saturday, 9 a.m., from Wolniak Funeral Home, 5700 S. Pulaski Rd., to St. Turibius Church for 9:30 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. 773-767-4500.

TO THE FAMILY OF ZOFIA LISZKA, WE WERE TRULY SADDENED TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS OF MS. LISZKA. WE HERE AT EMMAUS FOOD PANTRY KNEW OF HER FOR QUITE A WHILE. WE CAN ONLY SAY SHE WAS A REMARKABLE AND GRACIOUS WOMAN. WHEN SHE CAME IN ALONG CAME THE SMILES AND FRIENDLINESS...SHE WAS A WOMAN WITH A HEART OF GOLD. I WAS THE LADY THAT HAD HER SIGN IN AND SHE ALWAYS BROUGHT ME A TREAT WHEATHER IT WAS A PIECE OF POLISH CANDY OR JUST ONE OF HER CONTAGIOUS SMILES AND A HUG, SHE WOULD ALWAYS BRIGHTEN UP MY DAY... WE WILL 4 EVER MISS ZOFIA SHE WAS SUCH A BLESSING TO ME. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THE IMPACT SHE HAD ON MY LIFE... SHE WILL TRULY BE MISSED.......WITH OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY.
