Zachary Triplett Obituary

Zachary J. Triplett was born January 1, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, to Enna and Frank Triplett.

Zachary attended St. Clotilde Catholic School, where he was baptized, and graduated from St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School. He attended Brother Rice High School and Mt. Carmel High School, and graduated from Olive Harvey Middle School.

In 2001, Zachary became the first of the fourth generation of A.A. Rayner & Sons to become a licensed funeral director, an accomplishment that was a source of pride for him and his family. He was also in the process of pursuing a real estate license.

Zachary had a strong determination to provide for his family. They were his motivation, inspiration, and his reason for living. His whole life revolved around them.

Zack loved sports and enjoyed watching basketball, football and baseball. During the summer, he enjoyed playing softball in the Funeral Home League for A.A. Rayner's DOA's. His other love was shopping. His baby boy "JuJu" always had the latest in designer footwear and clothes. Zack was the king of finding bargains.

Zachary passed away, suddenly, early Sunday morning, December 21, 2003.

Zack leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Enna (Ray) Aikens; father, Frank Triplett; the love of his love, his fiancée, Janur; his children, Devontay ("Tay-Tay"), Julez Gambino ("JuJu"), Mario, Janei (his "MuMu"), Jalissa and Jacob; his uncle and mentor, Charles Childs (Karen); his aunt, Diretha (Ted) Lavizzo; and a sister, Elizabeth. Although Zack had many relatives and friends, he will remain in the hearts of his cousins, Charles (Cha-Chi), Louis, Renee, Chloe, A.A. Rayner IV ("Lil Man") and Brandon. He will also be greatly missed by his best friends, Stacey and Deshon, who were like brothers to him.

Dear family, it's been 25 years since I lost my brother at the age of 19. With us he left his beautiful daughter to carry on his memory. I understand the pain of such a lost, yet I know God is in control, there is a greater plan in process and Zachary's death is not in vain. I pray that God's love and peace that surpasses all understanding surrounds your entire family.

To your Fiance I know it is hard for you at this time. I lost my 21 year old brother feb.14, 2004. I have a little advice for you. I read that he left behind children let them know everyday that their daddy loves them. Let them remember him never forget. My prayers are with you and your family.God will heal your pain in time. Remember God will not hand you more than you can handle. Take care of your family as Zachary would want you to

I HAVE ALSO RECENTLY LOST MY SON...

I GIVE THIS TO YOUR PARENTS..IT GAVE ME SOME COMFORT...

SOMEWHERE A SILENCE

IS HEARD FARAWAY,

AND THE BRIGHTNESS OF DAY

FILLS THE NIGHT...

WHERE THE TRIALS OF LIFE,

ARE RESOLVED INTO PEACE...

WHEN A SOUL FINDS IT'S WAY

TO THE LIGHT..

SOMEWHERE A JOURNEY

BEGINS AT THE END...

OF THE WORLDLY EXISTANCE,

WE KNOW,

SOMEWHERE A PATH STRETCHES

OVER THE STARS,

AND RIVERS OF MEMORIES FLOW..

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Zachary. He sounds like a wonderful person and a family man. Undoubtedly you made many wonderful memories on which to reflect and draw comfort. Psalms 34:18 says, "God is near to those who are broken at heart and those crushed in spirit he saves" Please go to him in prayer and he will sustain you and your family during these sad times.

I would like to express my sympathy to each of you.

I hope that the love, joy, strength and memories that you shared with Zachary will be of comfort to you.

Knowing too that the day will come when we will no longer have to face such tragedy is something to look forward to. The Almight God has promised to swallow up death along with all the other ill effects that plague mankind forever. (Revelation 21:1-5; Isaiah 25:8; John 5:28,29)

Unitl that day comes continue to look to him for comfort, guidance and strength.

On Valentine's Day five years ago; my father, Gamaliel S. Jones passed away and the A.A Rayner Funeral Home in Chicago handled the arrangements. My brother, sister and I were far from home where we knew few people and under a lot of strain due to the circumstances of my father's death. The funeral home staff was so kind and caring and helped us through a difficult time; especially the son who may have been Zachary's father or uncle. I will never forget his kindness. I'd like to take this time to thank him. May God comfort this family as they have comforted so many in their service as funeral directors.

I came in today to wish my grandson "Happy Birthday". He was 29 days old when God called him home and would have been 2 years old today. His name is JaVontay Bryant of Irving Texas. I tell you those were the best 29 days of my entire life. Then God told us he need JaVontay in heaven with him. Oh, being my first grandson I didn't understand and I truly wanted to be selfish and say No, but I knew I couldn't. When I told the Lord he could take him, he took him within a few hours. Family of God, I will always cherish those memories, and the days that I spent with JaVontay. The only thing I can say to you all is to keep Zachary memories close to your heart. We don't understand why God takes life, but know that God gives life to. Zachary has left behind several beauitful children and that is the life that God has given to you to cherish Zachary's memories. God knew he needed Zachary home with him. I pray that you keep trusting in the Lord for guidence. God Bless you all...

Dear Family and Friends,

I am sorry for the lost of Zachary. No words can express the sorrow of losing a dearly loved one. Read the Bible book of Philippians 4:6,7 to help give you peace of mind. In part, it says: "Let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus."

Your friend,
