Yasuko Horiuchi Obituary

Horiuchi, Yasuko Passed away on March 28, 2011 from complications of non Hodgkins lymphoma. Born Yasuko Nishi in Holtville, CA on June 28, 1937. She is survived by her husband and soulmate Edward after 48-1/2 wonderful years of marriage, daughter Linda (Edward) Reid and daughter Sharon (Antonio) Cardoso, Loving grandmother of Connor, Matthew and Abigail Reid she will be sorely missed. She was famous in our family as an accomplished cook of Japanese cuisine, and someone with great artistic talent. Talented as well in her gardening, her flower gardens were her pride and joy. In lieu of flowers please send donations in her memory to the Buddhist Temple of Chicago, 1151 W. Leland Ave Chicago IL 60640 Visitation at 2pm and memorial service at 3pm will be held at this temple on Sunday, April 3, 2011. for information 773-472-6300 or www.lakeviewfuneralhome.com

Yasuko was one of my dearest friends and will be missed more than words could ever express. She and Ed have been a rock for me in my life here in Phoenix and will be be in my heart forever. My Very Deepest sympathy to your family. She is truly loved by many.
