My thoughts are with you during this
sad time. Bill was one of the nicest
men I've met with a great sense of humor.
He will be missed by all that knew him.
He was my supervisor at the Geneva Post
Office.

The Lord must have needed someone with a great sense of humor, so he has called Willie home. I also worked with Willie at the Glendale Heights Post Office for several years. He was a joy to be around. Like myself Willie was also a veteran of the United States Navy and took advantage of the G.I. Bill to further his education. One evening I arrived at a class at the College of DuPage and Willie was taking the same class. At the end of the semester the teacher asked us individually what grade we thought we deserved. I told the teacher that I thought I deserved a B because I've done all the work and did my best. Then it was Willie's turn. Willie told the teacher he felt he deserved an A. The teacher asked Willie why do you think you deserve an A? Willie tells the teacher that he copied everything I did all year and that the teacher never caught him nor did I notice, so he said that makes me pretty smart and that's why I think I deserve an A. The whole class including the instructor burst into laughter. That's how Willie was, quickwitted and always there to make people laugh. God bless the Wooten family in your time of sorrow but rest assured the lives Willie touched he made better.

My husband and I worked with Willie for many years at the Glendale Heights PO. The first time I met Willie he was walking around the old office with a cup of sauerkraut juice in his hand. He was blowing into the cup so that the smell from the juice would float through the air of the tiny room. It smelled awful. He thought that was hysterical. We will always remember him for his quick sense of humor. Our deepest condolences to the Wooten family.
