My sincere condolences to Rosellen and your extended family on the passing of Bill. He was an example of what it takes to be a National Collegiate Champion and most respected coach at all levels of amateur wrestling. Never a complainer, just the most dedicated and hardest working guy in his training and workouts. Always fair but tough as nails. He inspired legions of young men to learn how to test their limits and achieve on the mat and in life.
As a teammate at Iowa State Teachers College, he was a fearless pathfinder and mentor. He earned our respect as he attained the highest levels of the sport as a wrestler and coach.

Coach Weick was a 'No-Nonsense' and dedicated Physical Education instructor of mine at Tilden High School. During Coach Weick's tenure at Tilden High School, his love of wrestling and devotion to coaching restored the Blue Devils Wrestling Team to City Championship caliber. Coach Weick was a welcomed addition to the Tilden High School Physical Education Faculty, and one of its most successful coaches. My condolences to the family of Coach William J. Weick on his passing. He was a good man, remembered and respected by many of Tilden's former students who knew him. May he Rest in Peace.

Coach Weich was my Assistant Football coach at Tilden High School from 1966- 1970. He was a fantastic coach and a great man. My deepest condolences go out to his family and my prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
