Vaught Sr., William Troy (Known to most as Slim) Age 93, passed away on June 19, 2016 (Father's Day). Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and member of Markham VFW Post 9801. Longtime Markham resident, who was born and raised in Watertown Tennessee. Retired Union Ornamental Ironworker Local 63. Husband for 67 years (legally) of Eva Lee (nee Ware); father and superhero of William Troy Jr. (Monika) Vaught, Barbara Ann (Roy) Gertson, Robert Sherwood (Laurie) Vaught, the late Roger Lee Vaught, Ronald Lynn (Deanna) Vaught; devoted grandpa to Shawn Canning, Corey, Jeremy, Jessica, Amy, Brianne, Melissa, Zach, Kristin, Eric, and Jameson Vaught; beloved great-grandpa to Shawn, Jay, Olivia, Isabella, and another beautiful great-grandchild, who is on the way; brother of the late Ray Vaught; beloved Uncle Troy to Terry Vaught. Visitation Thursday, June 30, 2:00-9:00. Funeral Services Friday, July 1st, 10:00 at Heartland Memorial Center, 7151 183rd St., Tinley Park. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
