Stearns, William P. loving son of Carol (nee Kaecker) and the late William Patrick Stearns, loving brother of Patricia (Paul) Sterkowitz, Theresa (Joseph) Hanlon, loving uncle of Dayna (Rick) Munday, Andy, Patrick, Siobhan, his dear friend Barb Hauge, and his two best friends Nala, and Smiley. Visitation 2 to 9 p.m., Sunday. Memorial Service Monday, 11 a.m., at John Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights. Interment private. 708-361-4235.

I've known Bill my whole life. He was a great friend to everyone in my family and I learned so much from him. We always looked forward to driving out to his house in the summer and spending time with him. He taught me how to fish. Both my father and I have some great memories of Bill. He will always be missed.

My bestfriend is no longer with me to hold, but is always is in my heart and will be greatly missed. He was a loving and special man to open his heart to my son and me. He taught Jason so much, We will always love you. You onced laughed when I said "I love you Willie Stearns" I hope you know I meant it. Love you with all my heart
