Bill and I began working together in 1951 and stayed in touch for 50 years.When he climbed the corporate ladder I tolerated his authority and he tolerated my cartoons. Bill is a man who earned the respect and affection of everyone who new him, and we in the South Side Allstate conclave are saddened to lose him.Please accept our sincere condolances.

Dear O'Brien Family;
Bill was my boss for several years, and a friend for many more years. I respected his judgement; followed his advice and was never disapointed. He was truly one of those men of whom we say; "They just don't make them like him any more".

Dear O'Brien family,
Terry & I are friends of Joan's. We just wanted to let you know that our thoughts are with you. Judging by Joan, Mr O'Brien must've been a magnificent dad! Take care of yourselves and each other
Love, Pam & Terry
