William Nugent Obituary
Nugent, William Warren 77, of Kenilworth, passed away August 15, 2005, beloved husband of Emily Nugent (nee Hawkins), loving father of Lee Nugent Whitford and William H. Nugent, cherished grandfather of Kevin and Lisa Whitford, fond brother of Corliss R. (Arlene) Nugent. Retired Director of Metra. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 23rd, 2 p.m., at Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Ave., Kenilworth. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1403 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL, 60201 in memory of William Warren Nugent. Arrangements by: Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 847-251-8200.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

To the family of Warren Nugent:
I met Warren when I joined the
METRA Citizens Advisory Board in 1988 representing the Chicago South Suburban Mass Transit District.
Since that time I have always been impressed by his dedication to
METRA as a Board Member representing
Suburban Cook County. He attended our Board meetings as liaison between the METRA Board of Directors and,in spite of his illness and difficulty in walking,
he always greeted me and my fellow
Advisory Board members at our meetings and also took special interest in arranging,for those of
us who were interested,in visiting
METRA facilities to see the new equipment in which he took such pride.
I will miss his friendly greeting at our meetings. You can
be proud of his service to the commuters of the Northeastern Illinois area.

Warren was a great friend and adviser. I will deeply miss our comversations. People like Warren don't come along very often.
