William McClintic Obituary

McClintic, William Evert

William Evert McClintic

Bill McClintic was a much loved individual who never met a stranger and treated everyone with the highest respect and kindness. He is adored by his lucky wife, Corinne, and five children-Riley (Sara Foerster), Casey, Erin (Sean), Colleen and Ceilidh. Virginia, Helen and Rowan are his much loved and cherished grandchildren.

Bill is survived by brother-in-law, Richard (Terry) and by his nieces, Beccy (Dave); Katie (Merrick); Joanna and his nephew, Matthew. His grand nieces-Grace, Kate, Olivia and Kylie-took inspiration from Bill's guidance. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Jeanette; his brothers-in-law, Robert and Stephen, and his sister-in-law, Susan.

Bill McClintic was born in Monticello, Indiana where he lived his early life of hard work and giving to others. His family always hosted holidays for those individuals who were alone and did so with love and kindness. He went on to Indiana University where he joined Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and found lifelong friends with shared interests of sailing, travel and all things Hoosier. From there, he was recruited by the Northern Trust Company, where he spent his career of 42 years and was highly regarded by all who were lucky enough to be in his path!

The best part of Bill's life was his family. He was completely devoted to them and spent his energies helping them in any way he could. He never missed a game, play, concert, teacher conference, etc. Nothing was more important to him than BEING THERE for his wife and children, with his quiet competence and steadfast belief in them. He was the solid strength that enabled all to flourish around him. His executive functioning skills were noteworthy and kept the McClintic engine running smoothly.

We will celebrate this fine man on Saturday, March 22 at Sts. Faith Hope and Charity Church, 191 Linden Street, Winnetka, Illinois. Visitation is at 10:00 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory can be made to Regina Dominican High School, Regina Dominican High School, 701 Locust Road, Wilmette, IL 60091 or or Gift of Adoption, 1200 Shermer Road , Suite 111, Northbrook, IL 60062.

When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live in the love they left behind.

Mr. McClintic:
I remember him well and miss him dearly. He was the happiest and most joyful person! He loved his family fiercely and would do anything for them! He lived life large and with the most fun heart! He was super smart and would always ask me how I was doing at the university and was so loving to care about me because after all I was the babysitter at their beloved vacation spot. Know that I will pray for his soul and for you the family to be able to have peace and enjoy the memories. Please know that your Dad and husband was just the best, he made everyone he met feel truly valued and you do not meet someone like that everyday! :). It has been my immense pleasure to know and spend time with Bill. love Cory Kelenske Schaub

Bill was a senior at IU when I was a freshman and joined the fraternity. I did not know him very long, but what I remember about him was just like his obituary read. A kind, caring, decent human being. I am glad to have known him and become his fraternity brother. Condolences to his family
