Dear Chrissy and All the McCarthy's: What a remarkable man your father was, and that showed in the way he lived and how he loved not only his family, but all who had the good fortune to know him. He was there for our whole neighborhood in big and small ways, and the Stack's will never forget him. Love and prayers to you all, Laura

Absolutely loved this man. I am so thankful to have had him in our lives. Loved his "play" with language, his dry wit, and his passion for all things Irish. I can still feel the excitement for his visits on Christmas morning. This is a great family! Love, "Jackie Smack."

Goodbye to a wonderful doctor and man. I remember the house calls he made when I was young. We were fortunate to have him in our lives. God Bless you and keep you!

The Gallinatti Family wishes to send our sympathies to you all. I was really taken off guard hearing the news because he was such a strong man and seemed like he would go on and on! We enjoyed sitting next to him at sporting events listening to his stories. Mikey really liked his whistles! He always made it a point to notice something good that any kid did, not just his grandchildren, during a game. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Maureen and all the McCarthy family-So saddened to hear the news. We have wonderful memories of a truly great doctor and person. His warmth and sincerity touched us in a very special way. He brought skill, dedication and such a terrific personality to his patients and to all the OR staff. He had a gift of making each person feel special. He will be truly missed. Our deepest sympathy to the McCarthy family.
Dr. Bill's surgical skills were used twice with great success by our family.
His brother Ed was, most likely, my brother Don's best friend and able colleague.

To the McCarthy Family - I was sorry to hear of your father's death. He was a unique individual, one of a kind. St Therese, the Little Flower, once said - 'my vocation is to love.' You could put that on his tombstone. He loved his family, neighbors and patients as well as anyone I knew....Fr Hesburg, when asked why Notre Dame was successful, replied 'We are committed, competent and compassionate.'That too could go on his tombstone. My prayers are for him but especially for you, his family. Continue to share his legacy of love with everyone God sends you - MAY THE LORD HOLD HIM IN THE PALM OF HIS LOVING HANDS....SHALOM

Many people will miss Dr. McCarthy. He was a wonderful doctor and a fine man. He was so supportive and caring during my husband and father's terminal illineses. My sympathy goes to his family, which was lucky to have had him in their lives.
